Blessings to all,
I would like to take this opportunity to
introduce myself as the Worship Leader for
Desert Streams Church here in Surprise.
My name is Debra S. McCoy and I have
lived in Arizona for 31 years. I have been
involved with music my whole life, playing
the organ and piano since age 3. After my
family moved to Arizona in 1973, I finished
high school and obtained a B.A. in Music
Performance, Organ Concentration, from
Grand Canyon University. Since that time I
have worked with various churches and
music associations as accompanist, choir
director, and private music instructor. I am
currently a 3rd grade teacher for the
Nadaburg School District.

I have lived in the Surprise area for the last 3 years. I have two boys; Travis, age 17
and Kelson, age 16 who are also involved in the music worship of Desert Streams.
I hope that you will attend one of our worship services and introduce yourself to me so
that I might become more acquainted with you and your family. I would love the
opportunity to help you experience God as I do, through music.

Hi! I’m Faye Ruffcorn, the North Dakota country bumpkin who met the Minneapolis
city slicker in college, married and embarked on a life as “Pastor’s wife.”
Pastor Kevin and I have had the joy of raising two sons and now I am enjoying the
youth of our Desert Streams family. Besides liking to work with children, my favorite
pass-times include reading, singing, and backyard pool time. Kevin and I have also
thoroughly enjoyed traveling opportunities, whether in the States or in Europe and
Asia.
My background of elementary education, business and religion serve me well in my
capacity of Administrative Assistant and Involvement Coordinator at Desert Streams.
Though much of my work involves the office paper pushing, I find the greatest
satisfaction in my position is that of interaction with our people, learning of their
interests and strengths, and encouraging them in finding their niche in the family of
Desert Streams.
I invite you to join our inclusive neighborhood of Desert Streams, and while gaining a
close family, become involved in sharing your God-given talents with the community
of Surprise.
